The terms behind your care.
These Terms & Conditions explain how Tier1 Optimal provides clinician-led telehealth care to Ontario residents — covering eligibility, consultations, prescriptions, medication delivery, payments, and your responsibilities as a patient. Clear expectations are part of premium care.
Welcome to Tier1 Optimal. By using our website and services, you agree to the terms below. We've written them to be transparent and readable — because trust starts with clarity.
01 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, booking a consultation, or enrolling in a care plan, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
02 Medical Disclaimer
The content on our website is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for a consultation with a licensed clinician.
A clinician–patient relationship is established only after you complete a consultation and are accepted for treatment. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately. Tier1 Optimal does not provide emergency or urgent care.
03 Telehealth Services
Tier1 Optimal delivers care through telehealth — virtual consultations conducted by licensed Ontario clinicians, including Crystal Troup, NP. Telehealth has limitations, and a clinician may determine that in-person care or additional testing is required. In such cases, we will advise you and may decline or discontinue treatment where appropriate.
04 Eligibility & Ontario Residency
Eligibility Requirements
- You must be the age of majority in Ontario (18 or older) or older as required for treatment.
- You must provide accurate, complete health and identity information.
- You must be medically suitable for treatment, as determined by your clinician.
Ontario Residency Requirements
Our Services are available only to residents physically located in Ontario, Canada at the time of consultation and treatment. We may require proof of Ontario residency, and we cannot provide care to individuals outside the province.
05 Consultations, Prescriptions & Outcomes
Consultations
During your consultation, your clinician reviews your history, symptoms, and bloodwork to determine an appropriate course of care. You are responsible for providing honest and complete information.
Prescription Decisions
All prescription decisions are made solely at the professional discretion of a licensed Ontario clinician based on clinical judgment. Submitting a consultation request or payment does not guarantee a prescription. A clinician may decline to prescribe if treatment is not clinically appropriate.
Treatment Outcomes
Hormone optimization, weight loss, and related therapies vary from person to person. We do not guarantee specific results. Protocols are personalized and adjusted over time — typically on a 90-day cycle informed by quarterly bloodwork — based on how you respond.
06 Patient Responsibilities
Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update us about any changes to your health, medications, or contact details. Withholding or misrepresenting information may affect your safety and your eligibility for care.
Medication Use
- Use medication only as prescribed by your Tier1 Optimal clinician.
- Do not share, sell, or transfer your medication to any other person.
- Store and dispose of medication safely and follow all instructions provided.
- Report side effects or concerns to your care team promptly.
07 Payment & Ongoing Care
Payment Terms
Fees for consultations, treatments, and programs are described at the point of purchase and are payable through our secure payment provider. All fees are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. Certain treatments may be eligible for insurance reimbursement, but coverage is your responsibility to confirm with your insurer.
Subscription & Ongoing Care Programs
Some programs operate on a recurring or subscription basis to ensure continuity of care, medication, and follow-up. By enrolling, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel in accordance with the program terms. You may cancel ongoing programs by contacting us; cancellation does not entitle you to refunds for services or medication already provided, except as required by law. [Insert specific billing, refund & cancellation terms after legal review]
08 Appointment Cancellations
We ask that you provide reasonable notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a consultation so we can offer the time to other patients. Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to a fee. [Insert cancellation window & fee details]
09 Intellectual Property
All content on the Tier1 Optimal website — including text, graphics, logos, branding, protocols, and design — is owned by or licensed to Tier1 Optimal and protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without our prior written permission.
10 Website Use Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the website or its security features.
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest content or data without permission.
We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of these Terms.
11 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario and Canadian law, Tier1 Optimal and its clinicians, staff, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services or website. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for professional negligence. [Limitation-of-liability language must be reviewed by Canadian legal counsel]
12 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tier1 Optimal and its clinicians, staff, and partners from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your provision of inaccurate information. [Confirm scope with legal counsel]
13 Privacy Reference
Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal and health information in accordance with Ontario's PHIPA and Canada's PIPEDA. Please review it carefully.
14 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree that the courts of Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Services.
